I came to California from Italy in 1994. I was struck by how healthy everybody looked. But over time I observed how people seemed to get bigger and bigger.
Look at the charts from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This just happened in the last 16 years!

- Workdays are long, people drive to their job and budget cuts are making PE in school a thing of the past. Most people barely walk at all.
The Internet, new entertainment tools, computers, gaming consoles, movies on demand are making us seat for longer and longer hours.
We don’t even have to get up for commercial breaks anymore!
Then in November of 2006 I got a Wii console for my family. That was a real WOW moment for me.
I spent hours with my family battling over tennis, boxing, and jogging. Nintendo invented exercise games.
Videogames are not played with fast fingers anymore but with our entire body.
At the time I was busy building Mindflash, the easiest tool for online training.
When my involvement with Mindflash ended I decided to focus on my new passion for exercise games.
Nowdays we have smartphones with us at all times with phenomenal movement recognition ability. These are beautiful gadgets.
Why not build exercise games for smartphones that are fun to play and always with us?
So since May of 2010 I’ve worked passionately to build a fitness game that my family, friends and I will enjoy playing and that allows us to stay in better shape.
I play FitQuest 2-3 times per day for 3-5 minutes at the time and I’ve fun every time and I work a good sweat.
FitQuest is only the beginning. At JogHop we are designing many more exciting exercise games.
Don’t be surprised if next time you check in you see people jumping and jogging and ducking and laughing.
Happy jogging!
